November 11, 2007 - GREENWOOD, S.C. -- UNC Pembroke had three players reach double-figure kills as they eliminated Francis Marion University in four games (31-29, 30-19, 22-30, 30-27) in the first round of the Peach Belt Conference Volleyball Tournament, Saturday afternoon (Nov. 10) in Greenwood.
November 9, 2007 - Francis Marion University will play its opening-round match in the 17th-annual Peach Belt Conference Volleyball Tournament, Saturday afternoon (Nov. 10) at 1 p.m. against I-95 rival UNC Pembroke. The single-elimination event is being hosted by Lander University in the Finis Horne Area in Greenwood, S.C.
November 2, 2007 - FLORENCE, S.C. – Junior Jessica Lombardi and senior Jackie Phiel both registered double-doubles and Francis Marion University cruised to 30-25, 30-26, 30-19 win over UNC Pembroke, Friday evening (Nov. 2) in Peach Belt Conference women’s volleyball action. Francis Marion improved to 13-20 overall and 4-6 in the PBC, and FMU places fourth in the final regular-season conference standings.
October 28, 2007 - AIKEN, S.C.--Mandy Gerolstein led a balanced Lady Pacer attack as USC Aiken (21-4, 7-0 PBC) knocked off Francis Marion (12-20, 3-6 PBC) in three games on Saturday afternoon with scores of 30-22, 30-19, and 30-23. With the win, USC Aiken clinches at least a share of the program’s sixth Peach Belt Conference regular season championship. One more victory over the final three PBC contests remaining on the Lady Pacers’ schedule insures the team their first outright championship in 12 years.
October 28, 2007 - GREENWOOD, SC - Four Francis Marion University players, led by Jackie Phiel and Jessica Lombardi, posted double-doubles Friday night (Oct. 26) to lead the Patriots to a 20-30, 30-23, 28-30, 30-28, 16-14 victory over Lander University in Peach Belt Conference women's volleyball action.
October 24, 2007 - Led by Jessica Howard's 26 kills, Augusta State University swept by Francis Marion University in three games (30-21, 30-26, 30-27), Tuesday night (Oct. 23) in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match at Christenberry Fieldhouse. FMU drops to 11-19 overall and 2-5 in the PBC.
October 18, 2007 - SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Francis Marion volleyball squad picked up a hard-fought five-game Peach Belt Conference volleyball match on Wednesday evening over host Armstrong Atlantic State. Game scores were: 30-22, 30-28, 28-30, 21-30, 15-13.
October 15, 2007 - For the second time in three weeks, Francis Marion University junior outside hitter Jessica Lombardi has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference women’s volleyball Player of the Week, this time for the week of Oct. 8-14.

October 12, 2007 - Led by senior All-Conference middlehitter Mandy Gerolstein’s 16 kills and .452 hitting percentage, USC Aiken swept to a 30-19, 30-24, 30-28 win over Francis Marion University, Friday (Oct. 12) in Peach Belt Conference volleyball action. Francis Marion falls to 10-17 and 1-3.
October 11, 2007 - After dropping the opening game, Francis Marion University rallied to win three straight to take a 26-30, 30-22, 30-23, 30-19 non-conference win over local-rival Coker College, Wednesday (Oct. 10) in college volleyball action. FMU improves to 10-16 with its third straight win, and now leads the all-time series with the Cobras 44-8.
October 6, 2007 - Behind a record-setting performance from junior hitter Jessica Lombardi, Francis Marion University took a pair of wins on the final day of the Lees-McRae College Invitational, Saturday (Oct. 6) in college volleyball action. FMU downed Converse College in four games and Anderson University in three games. The Patriots are now 9-16.

September 26, 2007 - Junior Jessica Lombardi recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 18 kills and 12 digs, while senior Jackie Phiel tallied a season-high 30 digs, to lead Francis Marion University to a 30-26, 19-30, 30-24, 30-26 non-conference win over St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Tuesday evening (Sept. 25) in women’s volleyball action.
September 21, 2007 - UNC Pembroke and Francis Marion University combined for over 100 kills in a highly-contested match on Thursday night at the English E. Jones Center as the Braves defeated the Patriots 3-1 (31-29, 27-30, 30-27, 30-26) in volleyball action in the Peach Belt Conference opener for both teams.

September 7, 2007 - Francis Marion University was swept in a pair of matches at the AASU/Chatham Orthopaedic Volleyball Classic, Friday (Sept. 7) in Savannah, Ga. FMU fell to undefeated Florida Tech 30-21, 30-25, 30-25 and then, playing without the services of two injured starters, lost a 30-18, 30-19, 30-23 decision to the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras.
September 5, 2007 - Charleston Southern University (3-3) rallied from two games down to defeat Francis Marion University in five games (25-30, 25-30, 30-23, 30-28, 15-13), Tuesday night (Sept. 4) in the CSU Fieldhouse.
August 1, 2007 - Three Francis Marion University student-athletes were recently awarded NCAA Division II Degree-Completion Scholarship Awards for the 2007-08 academic year: cross country runner Megan Coy, softball player Jessica Johnson, and volleyball player Jessica Strader. The three are among 89 recipients nationwide.
