November 9, 2007 - Francis Marion University will play its opening-round match in the 17th-annual Peach Belt Conference Volleyball Tournament, Saturday afternoon (Nov. 10) at 1 p.m. against I-95 rival UNC Pembroke. The single-elimination event is being hosted by Lander University in the Finis Horne Area in Greenwood, S.C.

The Patriots open their season Friday and Saturday (Aug. 24-25) at the Eckerd College Tournament in St. Petersburg, Fla.

August 14, 2007 - The Francis Marion University women’s volleyball team has been tabbed to finish third in the race for the 2007 Peach Belt Conference crown, according to the annual poll of the league’s head coaches. Three FMU players; senior outside hitter Jackie Phiel, senior middlehitter Michelle Settergren, and junior setter Jenna Kaiser; were also named to the 2007 preseason All-PBC squad.

November 8, 2006 - Three Francis Marion University volleyball players – senior middle hitter Lezlie Logan (Cleburne, Texas), senior libero Jessica Strader (Kettering, Ohio), and sophomore setter Jenna Kaiser (Broomfield, Colo.) – were recently named to the 2006 All-Peach Belt Conference Team.

October 30, 2006 - Francis Marion University will serve as host for the 2006 Peach Belt Conference Women’s Volleyball Tournament, Friday and Saturday (Nov. 3-4) in the Smith University Center. Admission to the tournament is free. The single-elimination event will begin on Friday with quarterfinal matches at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., and semifinal matches at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The championship match is set for Saturday at 2 p.m.

October 24, 2006 - Francis Marion University sophomore setter Jenna Kaiser has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference women's volleyball Specialist of the Week for the week ending Oct. 22. This is the second time in a month she has earned the award.

August 23, 2006 - The Francis Marion University volleyball team enters the 2006 season led by a pair of decorated seniors and a first-year head coach. The team's goals are to successfully defend their 2005 Peach Belt Conference Tournament crown and thus return to the NCAA Division II Tournament, and finish higher during the PBC regular season than last year's second-place showing.
