FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University senior middle hitter Lezlie Logan has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference women’s volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 17. This is the third time in her career she has garnered the PBC weekly award.
The Cleburne, Texas, native averaged 4.71 kills, 0.86 service aces, and 0.71 blocks per game last week, while compiling a .267 hitting percentage. She helped lead Francis Marion to two PBC road wins as the Patriots improved to 12-4 on the season and 2-0 in the PBC.
Logan tallied 15 kills and three service aces in a come-from-behind, four-game win at Lander University on Sept. 15. The next afternoon, she registered 18 kills and three aces, while hitting .452, in a 3-0 sweep of USC Upstate.
For the season, Logan ranks fourth in the PBC in kills per game (3.64) and is now fourth on the conference’s all-time list for kills with 1,617 kills.
Logan previously won the PBC weekly award in Sept. 2004 and Oct. 2005. She is a former All-District performer at Cleburne High School.
