FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University sophomore setter Jenna Kaiser has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference women’s volleyball Specialist of the Week for the week ending Sept. 24.
The Broomfield, Colo., native averaged 11.27 assists, 3.82 digs, 0.73 kills, and 0.36 service aces per game last week, while compiling a .241 hitting percentage. She helped lead Francis Marion to three conference wins. In the process, the Patriots improved to 15-4 overall and now sit atop the Peach Belt standings at 5-0.
Kaiser handed out a season-high 52 assists and dug out 10 balls in a five-game win over USC Aiken on Sept. 23. Earlier in the week, she registered 35 assists and 23 digs in a road win at UNC Pembroke. She committed only two ball-handling errors in the three matches.
For the season, Kaiser ranks second in the PBC in assists per game (10.39). She is also averaging 3.50 digs, 0.76 kills, 0.50 blocks, and 0.36 service aces per game.
She previously earned this weekly award once during her freshman campaign.
Francis Marion played at Presbyterian College on Tuesday evening (Sept. 26) and will play host to Armstrong Atlantic State University for a key PBC match, Saturday at 3 p.m.
Kaiser is a former three-sport standout at Broomfield High School.
