FLORENCE, S.C. – Three Francis Marion University volleyball players – senior middle hitter Lezlie Logan (Cleburne, Texas), senior libero Jessica Strader (Kettering, Ohio), and sophomore setter Jenna Kaiser (Broomfield, Colo.) – were recently named to the 2006 All-Peach Belt Conference Team.

Logan earns All-PBC honors for the third straight year. She led the Patriots with 476 kills and 110 total blocks. She ranks second in the Peach Belt at 3.93 kills per game and fourth in hitting percentage at .279. She also compiled 0.91 blocks, 0.31 service aces, and 0.82 digs per game. She had double-figure kills in 26 of 34 matches, and registered 20 matches with a hitting percentage above .300 (10 matches above .400). Logan ended her career owning the Patriot all-time record for kills with 1,878, the second-highest total in PBC history.

Strader leads the conference in digs (655) and digs per game (5.41), while ranking fifth in service aces per game (0.44). She owns both the school and Peach Belt career marks for digs (2,248) and stands fifth on the all-time NCAA Division II digs list. She posted double-figure digs in 33 of 34 matches, including 15 matches with 20 or more digs. She was also an All-PBC selection in 2004.

Kaiser directed the Patriot offense and ranks second in the PBC with 1,282 assists and 10.86 assists per game. She also compiled a .231 attack percentage, was fourth on the team with 3.21 digs per game and 0.36 service aces per game, and tallied 49 total blocks. She registered 20 double-doubles (assists and digs) and committed only 13 ball-handling errors in 33 matches. She was also named to the PBC’s All-Tournament Team at last week’s championships. Kaiser was named the PBC Freshman of the Year in 2005.

Francis Marion ended the year 26-8, the 10th highest win total in the program’s 34-year history. Under the guidance of first-year coach Paul MacDonald, the Patriots shared the 2006 PBC regular-season title.
