Darryl Bridges is the Vice President of Student Affairs, one of the senior administrative officers of the university. In addition to serving on the University President’s Cabinet, the Vice President of Student Affairs provides leadership for all departments in the Division of Student Affairs, including:
• Dean of Students Office
• Office of Counseling & Testing
• Student Health Services
• Office of Career Development
• Office of Multicultural Affairs
• Office of Student Affairs
As a senior administrative officer, the Vice-President of Student Affairs is involved in campus wide initiatives and planning as assigned by the University President.
Since coming to FMU in 1997, Bridges has served as director of residence life, director of student life, and most recently as dean of students and assistant vice president for student development. Prior to coming to FMU, he held several positions in student housing at Western Kentucky University.
Bridges earned the B.A. degree in government and the M.A. degree in education (student personnel services) from Western Kentucky. His professional affiliations include the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, the South Carolina College Personnel Association, the Southern Association of College Student Affairs, and the Association for Student Judicial Affairs. Darryl has completed the SACSA/NASPA III Mid-Manager's Insitute and the South Carolina Executive Institute.
