The Division of Student Affairs is committed to enhancing the student experience at FMU by providing services and support for students as they engage in their learning experience and connect with the university community. In recognizing that the academic mission of the university is preeminent, the programs and services offered are designed to support the academic success of FMU Students.
While the academic curricula is important, a significant amount of the college experience occurs outside the classroom – examples include living in campus housing, participating in student organizations, or working out in the Smith University Center. We encourage all students to participate in as many of the valuable learning opportunities offered as individual circumstances allow.
The Division of Student Affairs offers numerous services, some providing basic needs and support services, while others are designed to increase student involvement in their collegiate experience. Some of these resources include the Office of Student Life, the Office of Career Development, Campus Recreation Services, and Multicultural Student Affairs. All FMU students are eligible to receive assistance from any program or service offered by offices in the Division of Student Affairs.
