Dr. Paul DeMarco, Director of Rural Community Health Programs at Francis Marion University, is responsible for coordinating and administering the ARCH Project. Dr. DeMarco is responsible for developing & implementing the health screening program; identifying host sites for screenings & programs; training & supervising the student participants; developing & implementing curriculum for the awareness activities; and promoting the program. Additionally, Dr. DeMarco identifies and secures locations for other internships that afford students experience at health and human service related work settings in rural areas.
Dr. DeMarco practiced medicine in a rural South Carolina community for fourteen years and is passionate about the health needs of historically underserved popluations. Dr. DeMarco may be reached by e-mail or by telephone at (843)661-1845.
