Cheerleading Try-outs for 2008-2009

Cheerleading Try-Outs - Fall 2008

Interest Meeting ANd Tryout Practice: Mon, Sept 14 in the Smith University Center - Gym (North End). You will learn a chant and dance that you will perform at tryouts.

Tryouts - Wed, Sept 16, 11am to 5pm, UC-Gym (you will sign up for a tryout time on Monday)

Cheerleading Try-outs: Wed, Sept 17, 2008 from 10am until 5pm in the UC Gym (sign up for times on Monday)

Requirements: Demonstrate a chant, cheer and a dance that will be taught on Sept 15. Tumbling is optional.

What should I wear? shorts, t-shirt, socks, shoes, hair pulled back, no jewelry

What are the cheerleader responsibilities at FMU? To support the athletic teams, primarily basketball, and to enhance the student and fan morale. FMU Cheerleaders are also expected to exemplify leadership on campus and in the community.

Why should I become a cheerleader? To support FMU and to become more involved on campus, and to build a relationships with a great group of "leaders" who "cheer."
