Cheerleading Try-Outs - Fall 2008

Interest Meeting: Wed, Sept 10, 2008 at 4:30pm in the Smith University Center (UC) - Balcony

Try-out Practice: Mon, Sept 15, 2008 at 5:30pm in UC Gym

Cheerleading Try-outs: Wed, Sept 17, 2008 from 10am until 5pm in the UC Gym (sign up for times on Monday)

Requirements: Demonstrate a chant, cheer and a dance that will be taught on Sept 15. Tumbling is optional.

Practice for the 2008-2009 season will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30pm until 7:30pm in the UC Gym.

What are the cheerleader responsibilities at FMU? To support the athletic teams, primarily basketball, and to enhance the student and fan morale. FMU Cheerleaders are also expected to exemplify leadership on campus and in the community.

Why should I become a cheerleader? To support FMU and to become more involved on campus, and to build a relationships with a great group of "leaders" who "cheer."
