Daphne Carter serves as the Assistant Dean of Students for Multicultural Affairs.  Ms. Carter received her BA degree from Clemson University and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University. As an assistant dean, Ms. Carter is responsible for the following areas:

• International Student Advisor - Designated School Officer
• Advisor to the FMU Chapter of National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)
• Advisor to the Multicultural Advisory Board
• Coordinates, in partnership with the Florence Chamber of Commerce, the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration
• Serves on various committees on campus, including New Student Orientation
• Serves as a student judicial affairs hearing officer
• Participates in generalist student affairs duties within the office
• Participates in the departmental on-call emergency schedule
