R. Daphne Carter - Assistant Dean of Students for Multicultural Affairs
Daphne Carter serves as the Assistant Dean of Students for Multicultural Affairs. Ms. Carter received her BA degree from Clemson University and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University. As an assistant dean, Ms. Carter is responsible for the following areas:
- International Student Advisor - Designated School Officer
- Advisor to the FMU Chapter of National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)
- Advisor to the Multicultural Advisory Board
- Coordinates, in partnership with the Florence Chamber of Commerce, the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration
- Serves on various committees on campus, including New Student Orientation
- Serves as a student judicial affairs hearing officer
- Participates in generalist student affairs duties within the office
- Participates in the departmental on-call emergency schedule
