Readers and Scribes
Reader services allow students to receive textbooks recorded on tape. Francis Marion will pay for student readers to record texts when textbooks-on-tape are unavailable through Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D). It is the student's responsibility to contact the Office of Counseling and Testing when textbook recording services are needed. All tapes borrowed must be returned at the end of each semester. Francis Marion will also pay for reader/scribe services if a student needs his or her exams to be administered orally or if the student needs a scribe for dictating answers.
