Welcome to the Freshman Focus Program Portal!

Upon completing the program, students will have acquired skills that will enhance their student success and assist in their acclimation to the campus community. The program will also help students identify individual and interpersonal challenges they may face during their first year of college and incorporate effective strategies for personal and professional growth. Each program participant will be paired with a Freshman Focus mentor based on academic major and/or special interests.

Upon completion of the Freshman Focus program, student participants will be able to:

  • Participate in lectures and dialogues that promote personal growth and development
  • Engage in conversations that focus on diverse ideas, perspectives, and experiences (through sessions and mentorship experience)
  • Recognize and acknowledge the value and importance of civic engagement within the FMU Campus Community
