  About Our Program

The FMU Patriot Cheerleaders are a 15-member squad whose main function is to promote university spirit and provide entertainment at all home basketball games, university events, and some community events.  We are a non-competitive program.

The cheerleaders are under the direction of Coach Leigh Bostick, who is in her third year with the program and Coach Cheri Richardson, who is in her first year with the program.  Leigh is a graduate of the College of Charleston where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communication.  She is currently attending FMU for her Master's in Education.  Cheri is a graduate of Francis Marion University where she earned a degree in Biology and Chemistry.  She is currently attending FMU for her MBA.

Tryout information for the 2007-2008 FMU Cheerleading Squad will be available online by May 2007.  Tryouts are not held until the Fall semester.
