Student Health Services at FMU employs one full time nurse practitioner, and a part time nurse practitioner, who specializes in women's health, is available one day per week to address student health concerns. Please call 843-661-1844 for more information and/or to set up an appointment.

Student Health Service provides both illness and wellness services to FMU students.  There are no fees to be seen, but fees are incurred if off site laboratory testing is necessary.  Occasionally students may need a referral to a specialist and any fees incurred become the responsibility of the student.  Insurance may be utilized for lab testing and off campus referrals.

In addition to responding to the needs of ill or injured students the nurse practitioner helps students maintain wellness by assisting them to take responsibility for their health.  Health related  brochures are available to students.  The nurse practitioner is available to discuss individual wellness concerns as the need arises.  Student Health Services also works closely with the FMU Counseling Center to meet the needs of  patients.
