Testing Services

The majority of testing is done in our office, located at 121 S. Evander Drive. We are located in the Francis Marion University Education Foundation Building directly on Hwy 501 / 76 next to the FMU campus. Call us at 843 - 661 - 1840 to find out where your test is being given.

The Office of Counseling and Testing administers the:

English 111 Bypass

English 112 Exemption

We are also able to proctor correspondence exams for community members enrolled in distance learning programs and administer (on Saturdays) testing programs for testing companies (i.e. the PRAXIS).

Testing is normally available Monday - Friday beginning at 8:30 am. The ISAT is offered on a predetermined schedule. Please call  843 - 661 - 1840 to find out when the ISAT will be given and/or to schedule an appointment for testing.

The price of each test is as follows:

*CLEP -  $65 (plus a $15 proctor fee)

*DANTES - $70 (plus a $15 proctor fee)

MAT -                                      $70

All testing fees are to be paid in the Cashiers office located in the Stokes Administration Building on the Francis Marion Universtiy campus. When you arrive to take your test, a copy of your receipt will be needed before testing begins.

*The $65 for the CLEP will be paid through the testing software. You can pay with either a check or credit/debit card. The $15 proctor fee is to be paid in the Cashier's office before testing.

* The $70 DANTES fee is to be paid with a certified check, money order, or with a credit card. The $15 proctor fee is to be paid in the Cashier's office before testing.
