Walk a mile – or less in some FMU shoes
From one end of the Francis Marion University campus to the other is just 9/10 of a mile.
For a top miler, that’s four-minute dash.
For most of our students, it’s a leisurely 20-minute walk.
That’s one more advantage of being a “right-sized” university. Navigating from place to place is as easy as putting one foot and front of another for a few minutes until you get where you want to go.
It can’t take too long.
The longest trip is under a mile.
Heck, we know campuses elsewhere in our state and region with parking lots bigger than that. Not sure how students get around at places like that.
We just know they don’t have that kind of problem here.
