Francis Marion University’s African American Faculty and Staff Coalition turns 25 this year. It’s an important milestone for our group and in spite of all the challenges we have all faced this year, a very special celebration has been planned.
We’d like for you to be a part of it.
The AAFSC’s 25th Anniversary Celebration is set for Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. in Chapman Auditorium on the FMU campus. We’ll come together to recognize and remember 25 years of hard work and achievement by our organization. Special entertainment and ceremonies are planned. We will also honor a member of the campus community with our AAFSC’s annual diversity award, and we’ll highlight the achievement of our scholarship recipients.
Since its founding a quarter century ago, the FMU’s African American Faculty and Staff Coalition has championed diversity on the Francis Marion University campus. It has served as a refuge and a resource, and it has provided critical scholarship dollars that the turned the college dream into reality for dozens of FMU students.
To maintain that momentum and make our 25th year the best ever, we need your support. Tickets for this year’s special 25th year commemoration are $30. For this year’s special 25th year commemoration, we are inviting individuals and groups to serve as special Golden Anniversary Sponsors for the event. Sponsors will be recognized at the event and in publicity prior to it. Sponsors will receive tickets as well.
The AAFSC’s 25th anniversary celebration is going to be a great night and we know you’ll want to be a part of it. The Coalition looks forward to seeing you on Feb. 18th.
