Description: General survey of the history of mathematics with special emphasis on topics that are encountered in high school or college (undergraduate) mathematics courses. The course will cover the mathematics of ancient times, beginning with the Egyptians, Babylonians, and Greeks, and continue to the present. Particular attention will be given to the contributions of selected mathematicians.
