General Education Literature Requirements

The English Department offers four possible options to satisfy the General Education Literature requirement:

  • Introduction to Literature (ENG 250)
  • Introduction to Literature: Examining Depictions of Gender (Eng 250G)
  • Introduction to Film Studies (ENG 251)
  • Reading and Writing Fiction, Poetry, and Drama (ENG 252).

Students may take any 300 level literature course to fulfill the requirement as well; however, the courses listed below are designed and taught with non-majors in mind.
