Frank Warren’s PostSecret
Frank Warren’s PostSecret makes its way to the PAC! PostSecret is an ongoing community art project, created by Mr. Frank Warren in 2005, in which people mail their secrets anonymously on a homemade postcard. Selected secrets are then posted on the PostSecret website, or used for PostSecret books or museum exhibits.
Frank Warren has been called “America’s most trusted stranger” and his project has raised over $1,000,000 for suicide prevention. Warren’s work also earned a special award from the National Mental Health Association and the Lifetime Achievement Award from HopeLine for suicide prevention awareness. For more information, you are encouraged to go to https://postsecret.com/. The secrets are meant to be empowering both to the author and to those who read them. Mr. Warren claims that the postcards are inspirational to those who read them, have healing powers for those who write them, give hope to people who identify with a stranger’s secret, and create an anonymous community of acceptance. With this event, we also hope to highlight the excellent work done by the staff at our Counseling and Testing Center here on campus.
