Director of Occupational Therapy (22-25)
Francis Marion University invites applications for the position of Director for our Entry Level Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program. The FMU Occupational Therapy Program seeks an experienced, collaborative, innovative leader who will be extensively involved in the development and initial accreditation of this new program. This position is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment. Candidates in all areas of Occupational Therapy will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with academic, leadership, and accreditation experience and/or aspirations to contribute to the leadership of a program. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional in the field of Occupational Therapy to lead a newly established program that will produce qualified Occupational Therapists for northeastern South Carolina and other regions of the state.
Qualifications: Candidates must hold a post-professional doctorate in Occupational Therapy or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years experience in the field, including 3 years in a full-time academic appointment. Applicants should be certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and hold or be eligible for current South Carolina licensure. Candidates should have a broad understanding of Occupational Therapy and its role in the health care and educational systems.
