ROBERT E. MCNAIR CENTER
The Robert E. McNair Center for Research and Service at Francis Marion University is a campus-based research and service resource. The McNair Center provides a collaborative setting for academic, research and outreach initiatives that strengthen the ties between the University and the greater community.
The McNair Center is supported by the generous support of the PSARAS Foundation and is named after former South Carolina Governor Robert E. McNair, who was instrumental in the establishment of Francis Marion University and spent his career fostering a dedication to education and public service.
The McNair Center houses several exciting programs and initiatives including the Belle W. Baruch Institute for South Carolina Studies, International Studies/Student Exchange Program, and Model United Nations. In addition, the Governor Robert E. McNair Scholars Program brings to campus a cadre of exceptional young scholars committed to public service and community leadership.
