Regional & Community Programs

FMU is involved in many regional and community programs which operate to serve the individuals of the University, Downtown Florence, and other surrounding areas. Whether you are starting up a business or in need of childcare, there is something here for you.

FMU Performing Arts Center

The PAC is a multi-use facility which is designed to promote the flexibility needed for a wide variety of programs, from University music performances to national touring music, dance, and theatre productions, while incorporating superior acoustics that adapt to individual performance needs.

Francis Marion Outreach

Francis Marion Outreach includes a variety facets aimed at serving FMU and its community. Outreach includes the Non-Profit Leadership Institute, the Kelley Business Institute, the Downtown Florence Art Gallery, and special event planning.

Richardson Center for the Child

The Gail and Terry Richardson Center for the Child on the campus of Francis Marion University is a unique childcare center that uses research-based curriculum to enhance individual learning and experience. The Richardson Center is affiliated with FMU’s Schools of Education and Health Sciences, and is a convenient childcare resource for the entire university community. However, the Richardson is open to all children and their families.
