Description: This course explores various types of urgent and emergent conditions across the lifespan that present in an emergency medicine setting and prepares the student to triage, stabilize, evaluate, treat, and monitor such conditions. The resources needed for management of patients presenting to an emergency medicine setting are discussed as they relate to the hospital setting and include referrals and specialty consultations.
