Description: This course is designed to introduce the student to the fundamental philosophies, skills, and terms of Hatha yoga. Emphasis is placed on yoga for health and how to correctly practice yoga including Asanas (yoga poses), Pranayama (breathing), and meditation in everyday life. Subtopics include yoga for stress reduction, yoga for neck and back pain, yoga for weight management, and yoga for relaxation.
