PHYS 406 - Advanced Computational Phys

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Take PHYS-220 PHYS-301 PHYS-302 PHYS-314 MATH-301 CS-190 CS-212 or CS-226. (Required, Previous).
Credit Hours: Min: 3; Max:

Description: A survey of advanced topics in computational physics including chaotic motion, mechanical and electromagnetic waves, diffusion, and fluid dynamics. Problems are solved using numerical methods involving ordinary and partial differential equations, linear algebra, and fast Fourier transforms. High-performance computing techniques are introduced to solve problems using multi-core and many-core computer architectures.
