Description: Analyzes the conduct of the United States in the sequence of events that led to the outbreak of World War II in Asia and Europe. Evaluates American military participation in the Allied war effort against the Axis. Discusses the impact of the war on the American home front. Examines the role of the United States in the conclusion of World War II and the initiation of the Cold War. One 100-level history course or permission of department is prerequisite to all history courses above the 299 level.
