The class is an introduction to conducting genealogical research using available resources - a Florence County Library card, cemetery site visits, and the worldwide web. You can conduct this research without spending a lot of money! We will focus primarily on genealogy in the United States and highlight the challenges of genealogical work for certain communities, especially African Americans. The goal is to demystify the process, so it is not so intimidating.
