Painting should be fun, especially when you’re learning for the first time – or brushing up on a skill like watercolor. You will be introduced to basic watercolor materials and techniques through still life and landscape studies. Even if you’ve never held a paintbrush before, you’ll learn to paint with watercolors in a way that is relaxing and fun, not overwhelming!

Rose Madder Red (transparent)

New Gamboge

Yellow Ochre

Indian Red

Cerulean Blue

 

Brushes: (bring brushes you already have)

1 in. Flat Brush

Number 8 Round Brush

Small Brush for detail

 

Paper:

140 lb. Arches Cold Press

1 sheet to cut or watercolor block

 

Other Supplies Needed:

2 in. clear packaging tape

Scissors

Small package of salt

Saran Wrap

Match Box

Natural sponge

White Wax Crayon

Small Spray bottle

Toothbrush

Razor Blade

2 Clear Jars

#2 Pencil

Kneaded Eraser

Index Cards with no lines

White plastic watercolor paint tray palette or butcher’s tray
