Description: Designed to develop the student's knowledge and skills in applying health promotion and disease prevention frameworks, and public health concepts, epidemiology, and environmental health issues with populations in the community. Content and clinical experiences are based on healthy people. Emphasis is placed on public health as a health partner; community assessment strategies; community partnerships; the design, implementation and evaluation of interventions for health promotion and/or disease prevention; social justice; and health policy implications.
