Physics Programs
Our physics programs have earned a reputation of producing bright young adults who can think critically and solve complex problems. Physics majors choose either computational physics or health physics. Our graduates of both are in high demand.
Our computational physics program equips students to use computation as a powerful tool in addressing real world physics problems. Students gain competency in computer programming languages, experience using our very own supercomputing cluster, and learn the modeling techniques needed to tackle complex problems that crop up in virtually any real-world physics problem.
Health physics is the profession devoted to protecting people and the environment from potential radiation hazards, while making it possible to enjoy the benefits of nuclear technology. Our students gain hands-on skills to be ready to work in nuclear power plants, hospitals, consulting companies, regulator agencies, and more.
