Description: This course explores the past, present, and future of professional healthcare roles. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking and lifelong learning, professional values and philosophies, socialization and role development of the healthcare professional, as well as the legal and ethical aspects of practice. This course will allow the students to develop career goals and a professional portfolio and to establish a focus for a student of a healthcare profession. This course provides the student with three hours of precepted clinical time each week with an expert in their specified healthcare discipline.
