Adult STEM Summer Camp
Saturday, June 7th, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.at the FMU Freshwater Ecology Center. 3742 N. Williston Rd.
How many times have you seen a summer camp advertised or dropped kids off at a STEM event and thought, “I miss being a kid. I wish I could do that camp!” And really, why should kids have all the fun? You work hard and deserve to play, too! Well, we have you covered. Come check out the FMU’s Freshwater Ecology Center’s first ever “Adult Summer Camp.” Come join us for a fun filled day of STEM camp activities. Participate in engineering design challenges. Make a nature journal. Dissect an owl pellet. Learn what macroinvertebrates can tell us about water quality. Remember – this camp is for you, the grown up (though if you have kids of your own, and if you’re feeling generous, you can let up to two kids tag along as your guest).
Adults – $65, Guests (children ages 6-17) – $30. Limit of two guests per adult. Price includes breakfast and lunch!
Public Access
The FEC is working hard to develop areas that can be made available for public use. These developments include hiking trails and public access for fishing. You’re invited to visit our complex and see all that’s happening for yourself!
