FMU Performing Arts Center announces 2026-2027 Spotlight Series

The 2026-2027 Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center’s Spotlight Series features seven concerts ranging from rock to Celtic music, R&B, country, and one of the best-selling artists in the history of America’s Got Talent. All concerts will be held on the mainstage of the FMU Performing Arts Center, 201 S. Dargan St., in downtown Florence.
Los Lobos brings its acclaimed catalog of recordings to Florence on Sunday, September 13. Blending rock, blues, R&B, soul, and traditional Mexican music, the band is best known for its iconic version of “La Bamba,” one of the most recognizable songs in pop music. For more than five decades, Los Lobos’ music, storytelling, and cultural influence have connected with generations of fans.
Diamond Rio, one of country music’s most successful and respected bands, takes the stage Thursday, October 29. The group made history when its debut single, “Meet in the Middle,” reached No. 1, becoming the first country band to achieve that feat with a debut release. Diamond Rio has produced a string of hits and is a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Gaelic Storm, world-renowned Celtic band, performs Thursday, November 12. Known for its energetic live shows and deep roots in Irish tradition, the band’s career took off after appearing in the blockbuster film Titanic. Gaelic Storm continues to entertain audiences around the world with its signature blend of Celtic music and humor.
The American Pop concert on Saturday, January 16, 2027, brings together three legendary groups from the 1960s. The Box Tops, The Buckinghams, and The Grass Roots will perform many of their biggest hits during an evening filled with timeless pop classics.
Fantasy: The Earth, Wind & Fire Experience brings the excitement and energy of one of music’s most legendary bands to the Performing Arts Center on Saturday, February 27. This multimedia concert experience recreates the sound, style, and spirit of Earth, Wind & Fire with classics including “Shining Star,” “Boogie Wonderland,” and “Let’s Groove.”
The Texas Tenors will be welcomed back to the PAC on Saturday, March 13. The trio is the most successful music group and highest selling act in America’s Got Talent history and has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Classical Artists in the World. Their repertoire includes favorites such as “You Raise Me Up” and “Unchained Melody.”
Sister Hazel closes the Spotlight Series on Saturday, May 1. The band topped the adult alternative charts in 1997 with its hit “All for You” and has continued to build a loyal following with music that blends rock, country, and American influences. The band’s Elements EP series returned it to the charts in 2018-2019, with Water, Wind, Fire, and Earth earning success on Billboard’s Country, Independent Albums, and Americana/Fold charts. Sister Hazel has released 11 albums, with Sand, Sea & Crash Debris as its most recent release.
