Titanski-Hooper appointed Vice President of Research and Community Services

Dr. Jennifer Titanski-Hooper has been appointed Vice President of Research and Community Services at Francis Marion University. In this role, she will lead and coordinate the school’s research initiatives and direct community outreach programs.

Titanski-Hooper earned a Bachelor of Secondary Education in Social Studies from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts in Geography from West Virginia University, and a Doctorate in Geography from The Pennsylvania State University.

Most recently, she served as the Director of FMU’s Governor Robert E. McNair Institute of Research and Service, where she implemented programs such as the Belle W. Baruch Institute for South Carolina Studies, the Local Government Leadership Institute, and the McNair Scholars Program. She is also an associate professor of Geography in the Department of Political Science and Geography.

“I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Titanski-Hooper as our new Vice President of Research and Community Services,” said FMU President Fred Carter. “Her leadership and vision will strengthen academic inquiry and scholarship across the campus. It will also help us better understand the needs of the constituencies with which we work. Jenn’s passion for collaboration and public service embodies the very essence of this university.”
