Narrative

Francis Marion University uses the degree inventory from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education and records from the Francis Marion University Office of Institutional Research to show that the University has students enrolled in degree programs.

Francis Marion has been in operation since 1970 [1]. Currently, the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education authorizes Francis Marion University to offer 48 baccalaureate programs, eight master’s programs, and a specialist degree [2]. The records maintained in the Office of Institutional Research indicate that student enrollment has declined only slightly for fall and spring semesters over the last five years and has been generally maintained for summer semesters as shown in Table 1 below.

During Spring 2017, Francis Marion enrolled a total of 3,326 students: 2,998 undergraduate students and 328 graduate students. Enrollment figures for undergraduate and graduate degree programs are shown in Tables 2 and 3 below.
